Sing For Hope Piano 2019 - Rhapsody in Blue
Inspired by George Gershwin's 1924 composition, Rhapsody in Blue celebrates music and the sounds of the city of New York. It was placed in Williamsbridge Oval in Norwood, Bronx. It was delivered to its forever home at CS 300 The School of Science and Applied Learning in the Bronx in Fall, 2019.
Sing For Hope Piano 2018 - Klangfarbenmelodie
In music, klangfarbenmelodie is a technique that involves splitting a musical line or melody between several instruments, rather than assigning it to just one instrument, thereby adding color and texture to the melodic line. The black lines split the surface of the piano into a kaleidoscopic medley of color and shape. The piano was displayed at Lincoln Center, and it was delivered to its forever home at P.S. 092 Mary McLeod Bethune in fall of 2018.
